Astir Beach, in the southern suburb of Vouliagmeni, is one of the most polished places to swim near Athens. Wi-Fi reaches across the sand, and the large sunbeds can be booked ahead.
The beach is divided into a public area and the Astir Palace private beach, where a day pass buys more space and quiet. The private section offers cabanas, butler service, and a dedicated restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine.
The water holds Blue Flag status, and the beach's sheltered position in a cove means calm seas even when the wind picks up. The nearby Astir Marina fills with yachts in summer.
